Cabin weekend year #2

A new tradition was started last year, and is going to become an annual thing. Again like last year not very many people came up. But we did get a couple of new comers this year, Camie and Jenny. Maybe next year, more. Just look what you miss out on:

The power of something so small

I bought the girls new bedding for their beds this last weekend and they were so excited. But I had no idea it would have the power to want them to make their beds each morning, even better keep the room clean to match.

This also has led to the girls making their own chore charts and sticking to it..too good to be true?? I hope not. I'm keeping fingers crossed!

D.A.R.E. !

When you are in the 5th grade you get to learn about D.A.R.E. and do fun things. I think it's a great program. I don't remember being a part of it in elementary I belive it was more voluntary then, but now days they just have all 5th graders do it. So a couple of weeks ago Cierra graduated..but I never posted the ones of Tara and Kylie graduating with their class. Konner I believe was a part of his, but we never went to his graduation for some reason. I am proud of my children and know they will make the right choices in life, and I am more greatful for programs like these to help teach our children about what is out there and how to say NO to dangerous things.

Holiday lights at Christmas Village

We took the kids to Ogden this year for the Christmas village lights festival...it was great fun!

"Seriously?"......

Yep, that's the word in our house. Everytime you tell the kids something, or ask a question it always seems to be the answer or response. It comes from one of my favorite telvision shows Greys Anatomy. One day while driving Jason was telling the kids something, and out slips it....seriously? Jason told the kids to quit saying the word, cause he was tired of hearing it, I responded 'seriously'. We all laughed.

It's a thing I guess you would have to hear..and more of a family joke to us, but seriously think about how many times you may say it.

My family

When we get together as a family, you know it's going to be a fun, crazy time. These kids are so cute together, as they put on a performance each time. Sharee, Gordon and the kids were here last month, and we truly enjoyed their visit and time with us.

Cierra turns 11

My youngest is now 11, I really can't believe the time has gone by so quickly. She is quite the bubbly little girl, and always has something to talk about or say. Happy Birthday to her....(belated post)

What a great retreat it was, and hopefully next year we'll have more people!
